Audience expectations
Assuming at least some prior knowledge of
  • Java and/or Perl programming
  • XML documents
  • HTTP as a request/response protocol
We're going to have some Java code and some Perl code. The code examples are trying to strike a balance between being informative about useful employment of SOAP tools without being too complicated for focused discussion.
